I’m Felicia, the heart behind Knot & Anchor Photography.

For nearly 20 years, I’ve walked the path of a military spouse — waiting through deployments, celebrating homecomings, and raising two boys while my husband serves in the Navy. Long before that, I was shaped by my grandfathers, both proud veterans, who instilled in me a deep respect and love for the military community from childhood.

This isn’t just my life — it’s my calling. Serving military families through photography is my way of giving back, preserving the fleeting moments that service life so often makes us treasure even more. Whether it’s capturing a newborn’s first days, the joy of a cake smash, or the tears and laughter of a homecoming, I know firsthand how precious these milestones are when time together feels short.

But Knot & Anchor isn’t only for military families. I believe every family’s story deserves to be celebrated with care, creativity, and heart. Whether you’re a military spouse counting the days to your partner’s return or a civilian family wanting to freeze the magic of your everyday, my mission is the same: to create timeless, authentic images that will make your heart happy every single time you look at them.

Photography has always been part of me — from playing with my Mema’s Polaroid as a little girl, to going through hundreds of disposable cameras, to the thrill of getting a Kodak Easy Share as a teenager. When my husband returned from deployment and surprised me with a new camera, Knot & Anchor Photography was born.

Since then, it’s been my greatest honor to serve families across Hampton Roads, Virginia and beyond, documenting love in all its forms. After all, to be seen is to be loved. And I see you.
